Not a quality tape by any measure, but damn glad to have it nonetheless. It was apparently recorded off a shared echo feed which shifts the mix entirely. Aparently the soundman didn’t have posterity on his mind, but what can you say about the band? They sound like they’re rushing to catch the next wave.
Can’t Wait Anymore
There has been much discussion amongst ourselves over whether Lisa or Russ played keyboards here, which would also make it either August ‘82 or May ‘83. It looks like Russ has it, although it’s not unlike what Lisa would’ve played.
Love Gasoline
The title was inspired by a Picasso quote, only it wasn’t a quote, and it wasn’t Picasso. It was Duchamp’s The Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors AKA The Large Glass. Maybe it was all a dream.
